* * * New or Improved for 2013.2 * * * Time Zones
You can choose which time zones to show within HEAT and in what order the time zone appear in a list. All major world time zones have been included in HEAT, but you can create a time zone that meets your specific needs.
Using this option does not modify date and time information in the repository, but simply converts the date and time for the convenience of the user. |
1. | Within the Configuration Console, open the Timezones workspace. The FRS_Timezone page appears. |
2. | Click New FRS_Timezone from the toolbar. The time zone configuration window appears. |
Time Zone Configuration Window
3. | Enter information into the fields. |
Field | Description |
---|---|
Display Name |
The name of the time zone as it will appear in a list. Click the globe to enter translations of the name. |
Timezone ID |
A unique name or number for the time zone. |
Is Enabled |
Enables the time zone. |
Time Diff |
The offset, in number of minutes, from UTC time. For example, the Nepal time zone is +5:45 hours from UTC, then you would enter +345. For Pacific Daylight Time, the time is -7:00 hours from UTC, or -420. |
Sort Order |
Designates in what order the time zone appears in a list. |
4. | Click Save. The new time zone appears in the list. |
Each time that you encounter a time zone field, the time zones are listed in the order you have defined.
You can enable an existing time zone.
1. | Within the Timezones workspace, select the time zone to enable. |
2. | From the toolbar, click Toggle Timezone State. |
The time zone toggles between Yes and No under Is Enabled.
When you disable a time zone, you lose the sort order. |
You can delete a time zone you created if it is not being used on a form. Deleting the time zone field without removing it from a form causes the form to produce unexpected results. We recommend you remove the control from all forms before deleting the time zone from the business object.
1. | Within the Configuration Console, open the Business Objects workspace. The business object workspace appears. |
2. | Open the business object that contains a time zone field (such as Incident). |
3. | From the toolbar, select Object Fields. The field list appears. |
4. | Find your time zone field, then click Delete at the end of the row. Fields with grayed Delete icons cannot be deleted. |
The time zone is now removed.
