Multiple Series Chart Using Multiple Objects
This example shows how to create an analytics chart that uses multiple series and multiple objects. This is useful to show trends.

This chart is automatically included with HEAT for new customers, but does not appear for pre-Release 2014.2 customers. |

Log into the Service Desk Console as an administrator, then open the Analytic Metrics workspace. |

Click Edit Mode . The Settings menu appears. |

Go to Settings > Manage Metrics. The Manage Metrics window appears. |

Under the General tab, enter information into the fields. |

Category |
The category. Choose from the drop-down list, or enter a new category name. For example, enter Business Value Metrics. |
Name |
A name for the metric. For example, enter Support Performance Business Value and Target Cost Saving. |
Description |
A description of the metric. |

Under the Data Source tab, enter information into the fields. |

Name |
A name for the data set. This appears in the data source tab. |
Business Object |
A business object. Select from the drop-down list. |
Saved Search |
A saved search. Select from the drop-down list. |
Group By |
A field to group the data. Select from the drop-down list. |
Format |
A format. Select from the drop-down list. |
2nd Level Group By |
Optional. A second level to group the data from the drop-down list. |
Split in Series By |
Optional. A field to split the series from the drop-down list. |
Statistic Fields |
The label and fields to use as statistics. For example, Target Cost Savings using ParamValue with Average value. Add more fields if needed. |
Order by |
The sort order. Select from the drop-down list. To not sort, choose Do not sort. |
Return up to |
The maximum number of items to return. |
Hide Null or 0 values |
Hides records that do not contain data. |

Click Add Data Source . A new data source tab appears. |

Click Run to test the output. |

Click Save to save your parameters and close the window. |

In the Manage Metrics window, click Close. |

From the toolbar, select Drag me to Add Chart and drop it over the dashboard. The Select Metric and Chart Type window appears. |

From the left pane, choose Support Performance Business Value and Target Cost Saving (the name of the metric you created). From the right pane, choose the column chart. |

Click Done. See Chart Types for Advanced Configuration settings. |
