Linking Related Articles to a Knowledge Article
You can link knowledge articles that contain related information to another knowledge article from the Related Articles tab. Self Service users automatically see the related articles when they view the main knowledge article.
Viewing the Knowledge Articles Related to this Knowledge Article
1. | Within the Service Desk Console, open the Knowledge workspace, then open a knowledge record. |
2. | Select the Related Articles tab. The list of related articles appears, if any. |
Adding a Related Knowledge Article to this Knowledge Article
1. | Within the Related Articles tab, click Link from the toolbar. A list of all articles appears. |
2. | Navigate to the article you want, then click Select. The article now appears on the list. |
3. | Click Save from the toolbar. |
Modifying a Knowledge Article that is Related to this Knowledge Article
1. | Within the Related Articles tab, double-click the related article that you want to edit. The Edit Q & A window appears. |
2. | Make changes as described in Creating a Knowledge Article. |
3. | Click Save. The window closes. |
4. | Click Save from the toolbar. |
Removing a Knowledge Article from the Related Articles List for this Knowledge Article
Removing a related article from the list does not delete the article from the knowledge base.
1. | Within the Related Articles tab, select the related article that you want to remove from the list. |
2. | Click Unlink from the toolbar. The article is no longer on the list. |
3. | Click Save from the toolbar. |
